Our uniquely talented, multilingual sales, logistics and accounting team has decades of experience in the seafood industry. On average, our sales people have over 25 years of experience selling shrimp and shellfish. Our services include global sourcing, consulting, ongoing large-volume commitments and programs, private label fulfillment, niche market fulfillment, and customized logistics management. All of our sales people have long term relationships with customers due to their depth of knowledge and commitment to integrity, honesty and treating every customer as a valued partner.

With over 30 years in the seafood industry, working in both Japan and America, Amano brings vast industry experience and a global perspective to the SSSC Team. Amano began his career with Hanwa of Japan directly out of Tokyo University of Fisheries. He was part of the first Seattle Shrimp & Seafood management Team when the company commenced operations in 2006. After returning to Tokyo for three years, in 2016 he returned to Seattle Shrimp & Seafood to assume the role of President.

Working hard in the seafood industry is nothing new for Bill; at age 14 he began working summers and weekends at the fish plant where his mom worked. Since graduating from college with a BA in Business, he has worked in wholesale and retail perishable distribution, Alaska seafood production and aquaculture. After 35+ years in the industry, Bill is most proud of his strong, long term relationships with customers, vendors and production crews.


"I’m excited to be part of Seattle Shrimp & Seafood," says Bill. "We have a very knowledgeable staff, our global sourcing is very strong, and that gives us the ability to commit to long term partnerships and supply programs."

Personal mantra: "Treat everyone fairly and equally; lead by example."

Outside of work, Bill spends time with his family, reading, at the gym and participating in sports.

Yusuke began his career in the seafood industry 16 years ago with Hanwa Corporation, where he specialized in importing Chinese eel and squid and African octopus to Japan. In 2013, Yusuke moved to the Pacific Northwest to join Seattle Shrimp & Seafood. As our Vice President of Procurement, Yusuke works closely with our product category managers to oversee the sourcing of our scallops, King crab, Santolla crab and lobster categories.


"I have always enjoyed working in the seafood industry," says Yusuke. "Every day is different and I get to work with great people."

Personal mantra: "Buy a lot, sell a lot."

Yusuke was born and raised in Osaka, Japan. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in geography from Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto-city in 1997. When he's not working, Yusuke likes spending time with his wife and son and kayaking.

With over 20 years devoted to wholesale and food service seafood markets, Bob worked his way up from being a sales associate to National Accounts Sales Manager working closely with one of the largest food service distributors in the U.S. Bob has been responsible for the growth and management of national and regional multi-unit restaurant chains, broad liners, wholesalers and specialty food distributors. He also has experience with the global sourcing of strategically selected product categories and commodities trading.


Bob manages and supports our US team, and launched our Chicago office in 2013.

"At the end of the day, I want each of our customers to know we have been fair and honest with them" says Bob. "I want them to know we have their back."

Personal mantra: "I am only successful if my customers are successful."

Bob attended Kansas University and currently lives in the Chicagoland area with his family and enjoys watching his kids grow and play sports.

Born and raised in the Seattle area, Greg got introduced to the retail food industry by working at Albertson’s Grocery Stores during high school and college. Following graduation, Greg began working in sales for a food brokerage company in Seattle and Hawaii and then the food division of Unilever. Before joining Seattle Shrimp, Greg developed broad experience in seafood sales, including importing, trading, value added retail, and selling scallops and Alaska seafood. Greg was Vice President of Sales for a major Canadian lobster and snow crab producing company.
No doubt because of his enthusiasm for the business, and his commitment to customer service, Greg has worked with many of the same customers for over 20 years. At Seattle Shrimp & Seafood, Greg focuses his efforts on national grocery and chain restaurant sales while managing the lobster category.

Greg graduated from the University of Washington in 1986 with a degree in Psychology. He lives in the Seattle area with his wife and three children.

Son joined Seattle Shrimp & Seafood in 2010; he has amassed over 30 years of experience in the food and seafood industries. Son speaks Vietnamese and 4 dialects of Chinese and has traveled extensively overseas to work with packers on private labels and product development. At Seattle Shrimp, Son focuses on sales and quality control.


"The thing I like best about my job is talking to my customers," says Son. "I have worked with many of the same customers for 20+ years and feel a responsibility and accountability for their success."

Nick specializes in developing and managing foodservice, retail, and chain restaurant accounts for Seattle Shrimp & Seafood. Nick began his career immediately after college, working six years for Aqua Star Seafoods where he became a Regional Sales Manager. Before joining Seattle Shrimp & Seafood, Nick was the Western Regional Sales Manager for Icicle Seafoods, working with key accounts to build program business.


“What I like best about my job is developing long-term business relationships and enjoying successes with my customers,” says Nick. “I pride myself on supporting my customers - big or small - with world class service that leads to mutual success and long-term relationships.

Personal mantra: “Success Isn't Owned. It's Leased. And Rent is Due Every Day." 

Nick attended Central Washington University where he was a multi-year starter on the Wildcats football team; he earned Academic All-League Honors and graduated Cum Laude with a BA degree in Biology. Nick is also a Defensive Back on Central’s 2000-2009 Football All-Decade Team. In his free time, Nick enjoys golf, traveling and cooking with his wife Sheena.

Bob began his seafood career with Ocean Garden Products, working his way up to Midwest Sales Manager. He then worked as a Business Development Manager for Rymer International, overseeing private brand programs and national restaurant chains. Bob was with Rymer for fourteen years before joining Worldwide Shrimp Company, a leading packer of wild domestic shrimp. Before joining Seattle Shrimp & Seafood, Bob worked for Direct Source Seafood managing their domestic shrimp private label business and the expansion of other commodity product category sales.


Bob is working in our Chicago Division focusing on full line sales to our mid-west and east coast accounts.

“I have been involved in the shrimp industry since 1987,” says Bob. “I enjoy the diversity of the industry and the global variables influencing the market. I am excited to work with Seattle Shrimp & Seafood because of their strong commitment to quality.

Bob grew up on the Southside of Chicago and graduated from Roosevelt University in Chicago with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Marketing. He and his wife Eileen have two grown daughters. With his free time Bob enjoys coaching and playing hockey, spending time with his family, golf and reading.

Born and raised in Japan, Mioka moved to the United States in 2003. She began her career in the seafood industry working for Hanwa American, importing seafood from overseas. After three years, Mioka was asked to join Seattle Shrimp & Seafood as a sales associate assisting our sales team.


"I just want to help the sales team," says Mioka. "And I hope that helps the company grow bigger."

Personal mantra: "Learn from every opportunity."

While still living in Japan, Mioka earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. And after coming to the US, earned an Associate of Arts degree in Accounting from South Seattle Community College. She is fluent in Japanese and English.

Chun brings to Seattle Shrimp & Seafood over 18 years of experience in the manufacturing, wholesale and import-export business sector. Before joining our team directly, Chun supported the SSSC sales team through Hanwa America, working in the Seattle office in the capacity of Import/Export & Sales Administrative Coordinator.


“I am excited to work with the Seattle Shrimp & Seafood team full time,” says Chun. “I enjoy supporting the sales people in their daily activities.”

Personal mantra: “Happiness is the consequence of personal effort.”

Chun earned a bachelor degree from Fudan University in Shanghai and attended Koishikawa Japanese Language School in Tokyo. Chun relocated to Seattle in 2005 and currently resides in the Bellevue area with her husband. Chun is fluent in the Chinese, Japanese and English languages. In her free time she enjoys cooking, baking, tennis and snow skiing.

As our Logistics Manager, Genta is responsible for shipping and tracking millions of pounds of seafood each year. Genta is always looking for the best transport option to ensure our product gets to its destination on time and with its quality intact.


"I enjoy the challenge of my job," says Genta. "I see my role as supporting our sales team and customers by sourcing the most reliable and cost-effective transportation option available."

Genta has worked in logistics for over 10 years and has focused his efforts in the seafood industry since 2008. He has built strong relationships with a premium group of transport companies. Genta earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business at Western Washington University and speaks fluent Japanese.
